I'm gonna do it - I'll guarantee you. I'm guessing the headlamp assys will wholesale in the $500 range each. You can buy the bulbs aftermarket - not el cheapo - Im talking OE supplier... Sylvania, Philips etc for about $65 ea. The ballasts will probably be the same ballasts all the other late model Ford HIDS use and they can be bought on ebay new for less than $100 ea. I hope to come in under $1500.

The headlights are obvisouly interchangeable - because they still offer the "old" lights in the non-HID trucks. Installing the light, wiring the projector to a high beam relay and wiring the ballast to low beam circuit. Done.

I promise I'll be one of the first people to do it. I am curious to see if just that one projector headlight will be the standard for even HD and Raptors or if they will come out with a blacked out one. If not, I dont mind the grey in the lights - they match the grille and fender flares.

Good luck! I look forward to seeing them installed. :peace:

I'm sure you will have plenty of interested followers as poor lighting is the only consistently negative comment about the Raptor.

I think if it is possible I will upgrade to the HID's, I can't see getting a new truck just for a couple of new options.

Imma end up modding my stockers to trade her in for a 14' later. It would be great if we could get good pricing for FORD OEM HID wiring/ballast setup for factory retrofitting to compliment my retrofitted headlights I'll be doing at a later date. :) The most important part to me when modding anything electrical is the quality of wiring for durability wise. OEM I found has been awesome for this through the years of trying for the best products like aftermarket hid wiring kits so on and so forth.
