yeah SVT needs lots of R&D time. i wouldnt expect them to be able to redesign a new raptor in such short time especially when they r backed up building the raptors now.

Exactly, they will discontinue for a year or two then a year after the model change release a new Raptor, just like they did in 2010.

I can beleive 100% there will be no raptor for the 2014.

Redesigned 09 f150 didn't get one, So my guess is the redesigned next gen won't either.

A new lightning would be pretty cool....

raptors are built on the same assembly line as normal f-150s. svt isn't actively doing much in that respect. additionally...most of the changes will likely be visual rather than mechanical. no excuses if they can't produce a 2014 raptor unless there's more to the story.

Could be changes to the frame, stuff like that where SVT needs to test suspension components*. Who knows. Only time will tell.

Well, Ford like all the rest of auto manufacturer build test and release vehicles now under a few platforms. I guarantee you the new Raptors will not have anything different from the F150 platform. They are following what the **** do now... A few vehicle platforms and 3 or4 vehicles off the tested and proven platform. My department (3.0L Escape)was discontinued in 03 because of Ford consolidating departments. Ford had 4 3.0L powertrain calibration departments, ya very stupid but, thats how they did things years ago...

Proof of this is say the Taurus, MKT, MKS, Flex and, Explorer. They are all on the same chassis.

Frame mounts are different from raptor to f150,same mounts used as the super duty for added Strength that's just one difference.so don't guarantee things you don't know about.
