I don't know how this is not covered under warranty... It is clearly a failed part and it clearly is from the wheel spinning and suddenly catching.. How the axles are not covered would amaze me, and to be honest I assure you my dealer would cover it no matter what. As for the parts bummer its so difficult, but glad to see Crystal is involved.. Its one of those pita moments in life you have to get through...

I could use the statement from college station ford, "it snapped in an unusual way as if it is a defective part." And they also put it solely up to me to find an axle shaft since the OEM ones are out of production for several months

Update: Corey at RPG is a life saver. The truck is re-assembled and getting ready for transport to my local dealership. Corey is sending me 2 axle shafts today and the truck should be at the dealership next week depending on how they ship it. Then, they are gonna rebuild all the bearings and seals on the passenger side and slide the next axle shaft in. Thank you everyone for your help!

At new dealership, are they going to do it under your ESP, labor wise?

Could you have replaced all internals with newer model year parts?

I'm not 100% sure but I do know the 2012 axle shafts are 35 spline shafts so if the housing is the same size etc. the diff internals and the axle shafts and all the bearings would be able to be installed into the 2011 housing.

To my knowledge this is correct and possible.

I should have the truck back tomorrow. Corey at RPG is a life saver. I had my local ford dealership drive over and pick up my truck in Texas and its finally back in town. They should have it torn down and getting ready to inspect and install the new axle shafts.

That's what I was thinking. @RPG is this possible. I have a 2011 so I kinda need to know. Also if anyone has an Xtra 11 axle for sale I'm intrested.
