I have a 13 and use a thumb drive. Works and is easy to do but the pictures have to be formatted and sized properly.

I suggest that you possibly enlist the help of the nerdiest computer type person you know to help you out with this in person and maybe have them read the threads for assistance.

As a former fellow Masshole I can say that you did not read post #8.

I believe Paint (if you're using Windows) will convert/save it for you. If not, look for a free program called Irfanview. It will do the job for you. You can also use it to resize, crop etc. It's a program I've been using for a very long time.
