The WSI Warthog does require trimming the frame horns. I went one of those right before Havoc. Before that I had a stealth from add. My experience was that the stealth stuck out so far I would hit the skid on things like creek crossings that nobody else hit at all. Also had a bigger issue with it but that is a different story.
Out of what you posted I like the LGE bumper. I will say the Warthog is nice too but wanted to confirm you do have to trim to mount it. The approach angle increase is worth it for me. Good luck with your choice.

You should for sure consider the saints bumper! I could not be any happier with mine, the best of form and function. Great approach angles and the light mounts give you full coverage of the front and sides of the truck.

Tough decision! I didn't vote because I'm somewhat in the process of making the same decision. I've looked at all the bumpers you posted, in addition to many others, and I just cant decide on one. Like you, I didn't really want to cut the OEM frame horns, but the more I shop, the more I feel I'm just going to do it; I feel that all the bolt on bumpers just look too awkward from certain angles and there's no argument that the approach angle from a frame cut bumper is significantly greater than a bolt on. I originally decided on the LGE/CTS bumper, but I've changed my mind since. Right now, I'm leaning towards the SDHQ that requires that the frame be trimmed. They do make a similar bumper that's bolt on, but again I feel it just looks... ummm... not quite right... like the other bolt on bumpers, like the skid plate section is too wide and protrudes too far from the front of the truck at that width because of the factory frame horns.

CUT FRAME: I would get it without the top light hoop.

Not to discredit any of the other bumpers or their manufacturers, but I know the SDHQ quality, fit/finish, and construction are superb... they are also constructed of 4130 chromoly and fully TIG welded. I'm pretty sure all the other bumpers mentioned thus far in this thread are constructed of mild-steel and most, if not all, are MIG welded. Taking price and construction into consideration, I feel the SDHQ bumper provides you a lot more bang for your buck as it's right in the same ball park as far as cost goes.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with SDHQ and of the three bumpers you've included for voting, today, I'd probably choose the Saints Offroad Bravo. In addition to it's more aesthetically pleasing style (opinion), I feel it is the most well constructed of the three, but I haven't seen any of the three in person.

Good luck with your decision and let us know what you choose.

EDIT: I just looked at the results and see that the ADD bumper is leading the polls. I find it kind of funny, because that would be my last choice of the three options. I know the ADD Race doesn't use them, but something about those dimple pressed sheet metal pieces on the ADD Stealth and Venom bumpers just really turn me off. Oh well, everyone has an opinion and ultimately it's your truck and I'd be lying if I said that I didn't care what other people think of my stuff... at least a little. :)

good info thanks for taking the time to put it all down. :happy160:

the SDHQ bolt on one is not for me. looks arent bad but i do not like ho it uses the stock skid. i agree the ADD looks wise is my least favorite of the 3.

I voted wrong lol, I voted ADD but looking at the pics again the LGE/CTS one takes it hands down IMO!

You need to post photos from THIS angle for all 3 bumpers! It seems only the LGE/CTS guys frequently post this angle.

The angle down on the ground from what roadkill would see is nice and all, but I want to see what it would look like from STANDING height for a normal person walking AROUND the truck and what it looks like from the SIDE. Some of these bumpers have gaping holes and fit like garbage around that front edge of the truck. The pic down on the ground straight in front look great, but stand up like you're going to see the bumper 99% of the time and view it from the side, and it makes a big difference in appearance. I still don't see why so many can't get the bumper to match the curve of the front of the truck and just half *** it with angular bends every few feet to sorta-kinda mimic the curve of the front end.

There are some pics just like that in the saints Offroad forum topic. There are threads in there posted by members here. I would post them but I'm on my phone at work. I'll try to find them and post them later.
