So when a person dies they expel all gasses from the body within the first few minutes of death. I would assume that would be the best time to taste a dead person fart.

Dunno about that. I've run across plenty of dead animals that were bloated up. I guess in the interest of science I should have poked my knife between a couple of ribs. Maybe next time.
