Now soon time to test the set-up!! Oh and wiring. Loads of wiring. Hahahaha
If anyone has any ?'s about our interiors, feel free to ask me. Tore half the truck apart.

What model is the rack? Looked on their website but I guess it is under construction or something.

Perhaps when you get time you could post the "how to" with pics for the next person that is looking for information.

Was there an issue with the roof mounts for the rack or were you just adding some extra reinforcement for peace of mind? I have this rack on order and will hopefully be installing it in a few weeks.

Thanks, man. Really like the looks of the rack. Super functional.....

No problem. Let me know if you have any other questions. If your considering this rack, my recommendation is to know in advance what accessories you will want to run. For ex, know what brand lights you would like to run and where you would want them located. Know whether or not you would want to a rrt or awning, gas cans.... Have a vision of what you will be using it for. This would make your life a lot easier when ordering and then obviously installing. Letting Gobi know what you want will save you a lot of trouble. I would not recommend using the supplied jack nuts. I did not trust them. I would use nut serts instead. Bigg50 used them and it has worked out for him. You might not need to take the steps I took, but then again it all depends on what you want to do and how dedicated you are. I needed to do what I did to make sure this rack does not budge. The awning I will be using would create way too much leverage to have me trust in those jack nuts supplied. Again, it all depends on what you want to do with your rack. Hope this helps.

I responded below your post. I did not trust the jack nuts supplied. I honestly didn't want to experience Murphy's law out in the middle of nowhere. My vision was to run a rtt and the bunduawn which raps around 260 degrees and is pole less hence creating much leverage to trust in jack nuts thru thin sheet metal. I went overboard and I don't think you will have any issues using nut serts instead of the supplied jack nuts. That is my opinion. The jack nuts might work out, but I did not trust them at all.

My project covers so many angles, its hard to do a "how to" but when I'm done, I'll try and put something together. In the meantime, if you need any help, I'd be happy to help you out.

Yes I'll try to do my best when I'm done. The project consists of so many small details it would be very difficult to explain. For ex, the interior literally has to be disassembled. We have airbags running front to rear that must be moved out of the way. The gobi rack rail has four holes each. You must drill thru the roof, thru the structural supports and in some cases thru 3 sections (I believe it was the 3 hole from the front) and at an angle. Chances are you wont get the 3 inch bolts I used, dead on. I had the jack nuts in there prior so threading the bolt thru, more than likely will not line up with your hole. To fix that problem, I used a dremel with a carbine bit to enlarge the hole in the direction I needed to pass the bolt thru. I then used 2 washers and a lock nut. Do not over-tighten!!!!! on and on.

I will do my best as soon as I can get the project done and render it a success.
