LOL....lets just say I'm one lucky SOB...ya get lucky a few times in life....
Its got 50,000 on it...was sent to Shelby in AZ as soon as the guy bought it...and I'm still amazed...when I picked up from Transporter and got in,it was like a NEW TRUCK....didnt even open the hood till I got home and just stood there shaking my head....Engine compartment was as clean as a Truck on a dealer lot...Frame,wheel wells also looked like new..I could find a spot of dirt....The guy had it fully detailed before he sent it....first week, everything I touched I got Armor-All on my hands..LOL...He has also just put its first set of new tires on it a couple months ago....Has EVERY Option that was available from Ford, including Bed Extender..then he did a $700 Line-X job on it after the Shelby package....He was a wealthy older guy (not that I;m young)..who has a Hanger full of restored classics and REALLY takes care of his vehicles..almost to OCD care..LOL...was his daily driver and always garaged!
.I figure from all the receipts I have he was into it for $80K and was a total pleasure to deal with, which you dont find often....
I had read story about the First Gen Raptors were the last of the 6.2 V8 .. I wasnt a Raptor guy before that, but started doing some research....and when I found a First Gen 6.2 AND a Shelby....well..kind of a no-brainer....and figure just might even go up in value, since the Baja Shelby is well over $100K...personally I like the more stock look of mine and really dont need the huge bumpers and spare tire holder in back....Only thing I'll be doing to it is putting a set of Rigid Fog lights in the front bumper holes...I guess thats the 1 option it doesnt have..LOL...
