I'm expecting to acquire raptor in about a month if all goes well.

So far I only owned (raced, wrenched on) small fast sports cars. Raptor is the first big toy. I ski and mountain bike frequently, and currently use C43 with custom fabricated hitch receiver as transport, and it's not really holding up well - already broke 2 rims, and bent other rims 6 times.

Looking forward to new experiences (Pismo!), and fun essential upgrades. Appreciate your patience answering noob questions. About to post one of those.

Welcome to the place, hope you get it soon, we love pics. Get out and enjoy the beaches and dunes as much as you can, over the last 20 years I have watched so much of the westcoast playgrounds being shut down, because of contamination to the wetlands and drylands, anything connected to the ocean is beginning to be off limits. Be thankful you don't live on any coastal towns in BC, can't even dirt bike or use a quad on some of the tree hugger towns. That's why I left there and came to the interior, can still have a blast off roading out here, for now.

With no Raptor pics, you’re a prius owner by default. Unfortunate, but that’s the way it is.

N00b questions are totally ok, we were all there once.
If you’re getting a new Raptor, you --must-- attend Raptor Assault. 100% worth it. After that, no serious mods until you have off roaded your truck. Then, you can make some judgments on what you want/need to modify.

its too bad colorado is becoming a california. i moved here hoping to get away from it.

pismo is on the verge of being shut down. the whole area is/will suffer from it. their main concern recently was the dust/sand of all the vehicles on the dunes. its a coast.... theres wind and dust/sand anyways.

Welcome! Pismo is pretty cool. To bad it will be shut down sometime. Last time out there, I was copilot is a rocket that took flight.
