I was finally able to take my truck up to mountains for the first time since taking delivery. Maybe I’m using my AC/heater wrong but once the outside temperature hit the low 30’s my truck would only blow HOT air regardless of what the interior cabin was set, anything between 60-80 degrees was one constant temperature coming out of the vents. The only way to get cold air was to turn it all the way to LOW. Anyone else experiencing this?

Do you have it in auto mode? If so, it’s going to try and achieve the set temperature, so the air will be hot until that temperature is reached.

I have this same issue and honestly have been wondering the same thing. No auto mode either. For me i can only get cool air if i set it at like LOW or maybe 61 or so. otherwise it blows hot air, even when the interior cabin is not that cold... would love any thoughts from others

All I read about the HVAC in these trucks is that all anyone can get is either hot or cold air.

For the record, still waiting on mine to arrive. My list of things to check on delivery is growing each week.

I smell a TSB brewing for HVAC.

Hmmmm? Sounds like there may be a servo not working properly to regulate air temp. Maybe it’s just the folks who don’t like the “auto” mode and fiddle with it themselves?

I must be one of the fiddlers. I never use the auto thingy and mine works fine (heat and AC)....then again, maybe I'm one of the lucky ones....

Newbie here,
Same problem for me. Very frustrating. Blows air at about 80 degrees no matter what temp you have it at all the way down to LO at which point it blows cool. I have had it work properly a few times for some odd reason (in last 4 months) and of course one of those times is when I brought it to the dealer. They said it’s working properly. That’s after I had NO heat when I bought it and they had to take the dash apart 3 days after purchase.
The truck is awesome, no doubt…
Besides:
-sound system. C’mon man, really. Decent at best.
-amount of air the the cabin pushed out thru the vents, even on 7 speed, is laughable.
Other than that, it’s a blast! If you have been waiting forever, it’s worth it.
If there’s any fix to heat issue, please enlighten us if you have figured it out.

Same here for me. The HVAC acts like its on Auto but its not. Depending on the outside temperature, will depend on how low i need to turn it down to in order to get cooler air.

I've owned 3 Gen2 and now Gen3 and my heat and AC have worked like every other vehicle I've owned. I usually keep it on auto and as I turn down the temp, the air gets progressively cooler. If I want it cooler quickly, I will turn it down to Lo.

However, if the vehicle is cold, meaning within the first 10 minutes of running, it will blow hot almost no matter where it's set.
