For the system to function efficiently, the instrument panel and side air vents should be fully open.
What instrument panel needs open?
There are 4 vents total in the front. I believe the inside ones close to the Nav screen and instrument panel count as the first 2 and then the outside vents or side air vents.

I was finally able to take my truck up to mountains for the first time since taking delivery. Maybe I’m using my AC/heater wrong but once the outside temperature hit the low 30’s my truck would only blow HOT air regardless of what the interior cabin was set, anything between 60-80 degrees was one constant temperature coming out of the vents. The only way to get cold air was to turn it all the way to LOW. Anyone else experiencing this?
OP - I know this post is years old, but did you ever figure this out? My '22 has been doing the same thing every time we go into the mountains. I have to run it at 61 degrees (auto or no auto) and turn it to 60 occasionally for a blast of cool air. I brought it in earlier this year and dealer can't find anything wrong. It only seems to happen at highway speeds in the mountains (cold outside temps?). It's crazy when my wife is in a t-shirt complaining how hot it is in the truck when it's 30 degrees outside. Seriously considering trading in, but wondering if this is just how all of them are?
