I thought I read something on this, searched couldn't find anything. The drivers side heated seat turns on when I push the button then after a couple second turns off, no heat. Then at one point I tried it again, the light stayed on, but never got warm then turned off. at one point i turned it on, worked fine, then I got out of the truck... Seems the passenger side is fine though. Any thoughts? out of warranty..

Few people have had the heating element go out on the driverside. I think Bird was one who comes to mind.

Ya. I'm pretty sure it was birdman too. But his got really got I think and burned the seat first. Someone had that. So far it seems that replacing the heat element is the fix, unless you just have a loose connection under the seat

I did too. Twice. See here: http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f10/2010-ford-raptor-seat-heater-drivers-side-hot-spot-9033/

But the bottom line is that your heater element has shorted. Its turning off because its detecting an interruption in the circuit, and if left on it will, quite literally, start a fire.

Get it replaced under warranty, and cross your fingers it stays working. Mine didn't and again needs to be replaced (of course, this time I'm not under warranty).

I'm out of warranty, will they still replace it because its a safety thing?

I tried that angle. No go. Your mileage may vary, but don't be offended if they stifle a laugh as you're asking... :laughing1:
