Dealer has ordered new factory headlights to replace what they say is a battery draw from what I think are Recon headlights. What should I check for before I pull out and replace what might be a simple fix. Photo 1 is the truck I'm thinking about. Photo 2 is the one from recon.

Got it home and the passenger side isn't coming on, might be a burnt bulb though. Drivers side will not turn off, and will cut out at times. I disconnected the battery for the night and will have to pull the housings to see whats happening. Any suggestions on where to start? I do have factory headlamps coming next week. So for now i got to fix it, or put a bandaid until I can undo whats been done.

You could check the wiring harness for damage/corrosion. Cut the tape from any looming and peel it back some to inspect the wires, then retape the loom with Super 33 or Tesa tape.

You could also verify the voltages on the pins are correct.
