It looks like JLT has updated the screen in their cans at some point. I’ll reach out and see if mine is the older style. That check valve looks nice. I’ll see if I can find one in stock somewhere.

Where exactly did you place that in your system?
As long as it's in between the SC and the catch can you're good.
With the JLT, you have to clean often.
Plus, using the right oil like Mobil 1 Extended Performance is key to keep the vapor mist down in the block.
And switching up to W5-30

Just found out that these Kooks OEM systems aren’t really OEM compatible. Apparently, it replaces the resonator section and goes straight to the muffler section. I was under the impression it had a ball/flange to connect to resonator. Kinda sucks. I was planning on putting resonator back in place to keep noise down. Wish they would note that explicitly on their website that it replaces IMG_0625.jpeg

Any tips on removing the oil dipstick from the block? I’ve soaked it a couple of times this evening with Kroil and heated the block with a torch. Figure I’ll hit it again later tomorrow after it’s had time to soak.

The Kooks instructions didn’t mention removing the dipstick at all, only modifying the position with the 1-7/8” headers. Since I went 1-3/4”, I didn’t figure I’d have to mess with that thing.

Why can’t they make the flange 2 separate pieces so it fits around the tube? Seems like it would be a slam dunk approach. The flanges are thick, so I don’t think strength would be an issue. Worst case, weld a bracket between the 2 sets of primaries to stiffen it up.
