Curious. Because some people on here have productions the last week of July, while the rest of us start August. I think Raptor's are safe as they need to get these vehicles out and on the road, in comparison there are already new F150s and Broncos out there. They wouldn't have opened order banks if they knew ahead of time they wouldn't be able to produce (hopefully)
Then again they knew about the MAP assembly plant shut down weeks prior to changing my Bronco build from 12JUL to 19JUL

at the end of the day this is one of their more profitable vehicles... theyre going to prioritize the chips, etc. for the raptor builds is my guess

i think what we have to remember here is that unlike the bronco launch which was anounceed pre covid. the raptor was in feb when they knew they would be up against the chip shortage. i also remember reading i think on ford authority that they talked to the raptor program manger about the production time table given the ongoing chip shortage. they said it would on time as indicated at launch. also for some of you newer members, old timers chime in here ie gen 1 and gen 2 owners . if anyone noticed none of the options had any disclaimers about late availibilty of any of the raptor options or packages. which was almost always the case before ie optional beadlock wheels and carbon fiber package. all of which indicates to me that along with the allocation within the normal allocation means the know exactly how many they can build and when they can build. i think its going to be a short run. more than we thick but way less than a normal year. probably similar to when the did the gen 1 which was a SVT product that was limted production at about 10,000 per year. when i owned a 2002 lightning brand new that was 1 of 2700 in that color of a total production of 4700.

also i remember when i ordered my 2010 raptor in may of 2010 and didnt get it until aug of 2010 meanwhile the 2011 came out in dec 2010 with the 6.2. so again i think for those of us that have ordered 2021's we will be among very few that will be made for this model year given how things are . a sidenote wait til we start getting trucks in aug and sept when there are people out ther who ordered f150 early this year that still havent gotten their trucks yet.

I think this is spot on, at the end of the day Ford is still a business. Raptors have to have some of the highest contribution margins in their overall lineup, let alone f150s.

Ford knows about the chip shortage so I have to think they took it into account from a logistics standpoint. And from a market standpoint, they have to get some raptors out given they’re calling it a 2021 model and given that their main competition has trucks on the road. As one of the previous posters said - they already have 2021 Broncos and F-150s on the road, and dealers have the latter in stock. The Raptor is a different story.

At least this is what I’m telling myself…

Anybody going to call Ford Performance for an update today? I'll be asleep by the time they might have any scheduling info (provided the plant shutdowns don't affect our trucks), but I'm looking forward to waking up to new delivery dates for ya'll tomorrow and then hopefully one for myself when I call tomorrow night.

As of now, F150's, including Raptor's are not being scheduled this week. However I hope previous orders are scheduled and they are just not scheduling new orders from this week. I am going to wait a few hours and call.

If you don’t mind asking when you call if they are seeing orders that were not scheduled last Friday now have build weeks assigned. My order was unscheduled when I called Friday figured I would call again until this Thursday afternoon or Friday morning to see if I have an update. But if orders have been scheduled between Friday and now maybe I’ll call.
