Do you mind sharing the info with me too? I'm leaning towards blacking out all the grey.
Yea I don't mind sharing it. I just had a nice talk with Silver Raptor explaining everything to him. Ok so here's the deal with plasti dip. Lets start with the fenders, Get some of the blue painters tape and a roll of some cheap plastic drop cloth stuff. Tape about 2-3 inches above the fender. Yes you want to dip your paint when doing your fenders, its gonna be way easier this way. Don't worry when your done doing the 6-10 coats it will come right off with no damage to your paint at all! I did a coat about every 30 - 45 minutes, Pay attention to this part!! Do very light and thin coats!! On your 1st and 2nd coat you should still see the paint and fender color showing if your doing it right. Clean everything off real good and if you have any water/moisture in any crack or crevasse where you are going to do the dip DON'T GO FORWARD with the process. Any moisture will ruin the entire thing.
Ok the bumpers are very straight forward, just tape off the surrounding area and go for it. The grill I removed because it is just easier that way. its only held on by a hand full of bolts and a quick disconnect wire harness. I suggest popping out the 3 LED lights and taping them before you start. Make sure all the road grime and little bugs are off before proceeding as they WILL show up if you spray over them. I found the rotating the grill 180 degrees between coats helped get a uniform look. Again I can't stress this enough, very light coats! if your in a hurry do it another day. once your all done it will take a few days to fully cure. Once it is fully cured I found that a rag with some Armorall really makes it pop.
If you should get any damage or little rock chips you have 2 choices. Choice 1 is to peal everything off and reapply. Choice 2 is to carefully cut away the damaged section and just spray 6-10 coats overlapping and your good to go. It blends very nicely! I would definitely opt for lots more light coats vs 4-6 coats. it really seams to make a difference when you get up into the 7-9 coat area.
Feel free to ask any questions, I'm happy to help.

that looks amazing but for some reason it makes it look more like a street truck to me. the 2 tone makes it look more offroad IMO
Definitely agree!
