I have found out the hard way that washing the Raptor in my backyard is not going to work out. Our water system leaves some of the ugliest water spots I've ever seen. No matter how fast i try to dry it off after washing a section, I still end up with spots. And the glass is worse than the painted areas.

Anyone got a good way to remove water spots?

Clay bar will work but, I dont think you want to do that after every wash. Why not buy one of them sink hard water filters and use it only for rinsing.

Do you say this because you are insinuating that clay barring damages paint or because it is a very very time consuming process?

I know that vinegar will remove hard water spots from glasses that the dishwasher creates...

Anyone know if it would it hurt paint/graphics?

You can use a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar on your paint to get rid of water spots. I can't imagine it hurting the graphics, but I don't know for sure if it will or not.

Autogeek.net has a hard water filter that hooks up to your hose bib that filters out the hard water. We have hard water that leaves nasty water spots too so I got one and it eliminated the spots. Costs about $100 and just attaches via a short piece of hose (which is included with the filter) to the hose bib. If you get it, note that the filter does not come with a hard water filter, only a sediment filter, you have to order the hard water filter separately. The filter is easily recharged. I now leave it hooked up to the one hose bib and my wife uses it all the time for other things too.
