The Diamondback is the most secure one that I have found. You need more than a pocket knife to get into it. You can get into anything but the d-bag thieves always look for the easiest option

I’m pretty interested in the Diamond back. I was thinking a cap (Leer or similar) but I think this will work for me and secure all my stuff. Anything more you can tell us about which model you went with, installation, any regrets? Thanks in advance.

I have the HD model… it is amazing tough and solid. Install was about 30 minutes. That was because I needed to take me time size I never put a top on before. They say to remove and reinstall it takes 10 minutes and I believe it. I have the butterfly model however you can get with the sides popping up instead. I highly recommend it. Makes the truck look tougher with the top. Add that every stays dry and it seem tough to break in. I actually ordered a retractable top but canceled it and went with the HD.

The website says "Auto-opening the tailgate via key fob may not work." Is this true for the raptor?
I am looking at the SE not HD. Did you get any rear sag on the coils installing the HD?

It’s not explained well by them, which is unusual. They are a great company to deal with, just give them a shout they will answer any questions.
TO YOUR QUESTION: What they mean is that if you have the lid secured properly, snug/Tight, the Tailgate won’t just drop open when you press the release button. It Doesn’t interfere with the opening/closing of the Tailgate.
If Im opening the Tailgate, I just twist the locking handle to release the pressure.
As to the Type I chose, The HD model you can put you your Can-Am on the top and strap it down, holds #1200.
I went with the lighter duty, holds #400. You can walk on it, put your tent, chairs etc. Can’t do that with any of the “Pretty” ones, no offense, lol.
Each 1/2 removes in about 2min when you are carrying something Tall, BBQ etc. When you remove either or both halves the only thing remaining is the 6” middle piece that is C-Clamped to the Bed Lips.

I have a Retrax on my Raptor and a BakFlip on my F-350. The Retrax can be pushed open, even when locked. The BakFlip could probably be pried open using a crowbar fairly easily. I would not recommend either if you're really concerned with break-ins. From What I have seen, @John M is referencing the most secure solution with the Diamondback. That solution, for my needs, isn't ideal due to the way it opens if I need items to stick out like bike tires or wood/plywood.
