GEN 2 Half of Ambient Lighting Went Out?

Noticed the other night that half of the ambient lighting on my '17 SCREW randomly stopped working. By half I mean both front footwells, the front cupholders, and the light in that weird spot under the passenger airbag no longer light up pretty colors at night. The rear passenger footwells and all 4 doors still work like normal.

I have checked fuses, and performed a "Master Reset" on SYNC and they still wont come on. I can change the colors of the lights that still work so its not a specific color. Any ideas? If its not a fuse I'm stumped. Any connectors I should check or have a dealer check?

this is actually very odd because the other day when i was driving around my son noticed just his side door pockets ambient was on, i went into the settings and changed the light then they all came on. wonder if mine is headed for your same issue down the road lol.

Keep me posted if it does. Trying to resolve the issue myself since the dealer said it would be a $119 diagnostic fee minimum. I've been following this thread hoping for more info:

Small update:

I got the ForScan iOS app and ran the BCM self test. It returned DTC codes B143B and B143C: "Autolamp On Input" and "Headlamp Off Input" respectively. Both say "Additional Fault Symptom: - Circuit Short to Ground." Any clue if this could be related to the ambient lights? Any idea what next steps I should take or any other Forscan tests I can run?

Dealer wanted to charge a $118 diagnostic fee I'm hoping I can tell them exactly what to fix If I cant myself.

Those DTCs are both related to the headlamp switch itself. Do you have any aftermarket wiring tied into the headlamp switch or BCM? It’s strange to have those DTCs without any headlamp related symptoms.

Sorry I'm new here and trying to help out if I can. I referenced the fsm and found those items to be fed from the same source. I will include the wiring diagram picture to see if that helps

Sorry I'm new here and trying to help out if I can. I referenced the fsm and found those items to be fed from the same source. I will include the wiring diagram picture to see if that helps

So based on those wiring diagrams, something in the loop shown in the first picture is what is broken on my truck. The lights described in the second still work. Do you think the DTCs thrown have to do with a loose connection in that first loop somewhere? Any idea where I could check connectors / grounds for that loop? Would a BCM reset fix this? Maybe something in FORScan I can look at? Just looking for options to try.

C2280b seems from a quick look to be the only in common commector. There is a splice not far from that connector s215 that may also have an issue. If you've already checked that fuse, with a ohmmeter please, the only other thing I see in common is the ground g201

I will check in a minute, would these be connections made under the passenger footwell near the fuse panel?
