Just got my icon 3.0's on and have done about 200 miles of offroad testing with them over the last couple days.
I've got a crew cab with national +3 springs and RPG bumps at 90 psi.

Does anybody actually use any position above 2 or 3 on the front adjusters ?
I'm finding the front end to be harsh at speeds below 60 mph, especially on washboard and small chop, even set on s.
They work great above 60 mph, when pushed hard through big stuff, but seem overly stiff below.
Tried different ride heights without improvement.
I don't need any stiffer adjustment on the front end, even the s setting is working great for the big hits and whoops, but could sure use about 6 or 7 more softer settings.
They are very noticeably rougher on washboard at lower speeds vs the stock coilovers on mid perch.

The rear is awesome, works beautifully. No complaints there at all.
It just seems to be outperforming the front end in the low to mid speed "plushness" category. And that's kind of backwards.

Am I crazy here, or has anyone else had these experiences ?
I know the easy answer is to revalve softer, but I think I'm seeing the effects of a high spring rate as much as anything...
It just seems odd, as everything I'd read here indicated the icons as the more daily driver friendly setup.
Perhaps if you're auto crossing, or running a slalom on the way to work, but I drive down rough roads at 60 mph or less to get there.
I'm currently going to get some dirty looks blasting around the oilfield at 80+ mph to smooth things out :driver:

is it possible to get progressive coil over springs for the front? did you do the install yourself? a lot of members seem to be hard core dirt carvers so one does need to keep that in mind.I have a set up in mind like yours so how you tune yours is of great interest to me ...all the best

I ran mine at the softest setting up front and it was amazing 2 weeks ago. Run had pretty much any terrain you'd see and the front just ate it up. I had to play with the rear since I had a lot of weight with my outboard tiregate and 2nd spare near the rear. I don't see why you'd want it any firmer but that's just me.

Here a vid of the run so you can get an idea of what the terrain was like.

BlueSVT is pretty knowledgeable on these and he keeps them on the softest setting upfront except for on the dunes.

Remote shock adjustment

Maybe you guys could use this new product I saw advertised.

It's made by the people who created "Mr. Bill" and it has a 1,001 uses.

Perhaps you could buy some of these and install them next to your shocks so they could adjust them on the fly!

#imconfusedwhatareiconsagain?

Guys, keep this kind of stupidity out of this thread.
The intent of my original post is to determine if icon is valving these too stiff from the factory...

It's not their valving. Search the forum. The spring they use has a higher spring weight than stock. Also their valving is speed sensitive, not position sensitive
