Guys..what is this panel under the middle tray for? (pic attached)

Dear knowledgable fellow FRF members, what is this panel under the middle pen tray for?

What's the purpose of it? What's under the cover? Does it lead to wiring or our shifter control mechanism?

Figured I'd ask before popping it open.

I don't think you can reprogram the key from the vehicle. That has to be done by Ford through the dealership. And the slot to use the keyfob when the battery is dead is under one of the cup holders.

This slot is clearly for hiding your contraband.

Or maybe pop that off to start removing the center console...don't know.

So that means some freakin theif POS can put your truck in nuetral and push it out of your driveway or whatever. Don't tell me that there is a hidden lever to unlock the steering wheel as well.

Hey be happy, we have a tow truck button you have to work to get to. Look at GM, they have the tow truck button on the mirror for easy and quick access

there is a lever you can slide that unlocks the shifter without the key

Thanks guys, this is exactly what I was afraid of.

CoronaRaptor got it right, some POS trying to steal your raptor can easily access this. I've been looking into security for my rap and saw that the Dodge Charger/Challenger guys have come up with a plate that can block this area. Sucks and super extra but figured I'd share..
