Gps mounts

I have the 7m touch. Internal antenna is sketchy. I have the new Point 1 Baja external. Works like a champ.

Well that answers that question. I appreciate this info. Tired of banging my head against the wall and wondering if it is even worth it. Guess I will order up an external and move on. Now hopefully the wife doesn't read this post before I break the news to her that I am spending even more money on the expensive dash decoration that didn't work at all on the recent run.

This is my RPG mount for a 13'
Just found out Outlaw makes one too and it sits higher. Might change to that one so my view of the time/temp on home screen isn't blocked.
Then again, I might just not have it at all since the GPS didn't work anyway. Still working on that.

So Outlaw and RPG finally have mounts for the 13s available? I've got the Nav, but have been unable to find a mount for the 2013 with MFT.

Wow, that unit is way cool.... wish I hadn't seen this. Cha-ching! Ive got the outlaw mount w/external biscuit...actually works great. I like the lower position of that mount you have pictured there. Think my wiff would too...

We put one of the new touch models in the chase truck for NORRA. We wanted the remote ant. as well but it was out of stock and we were tight on time. Worked great all the way down Baja. Worked most of the time driving back to the PNW. Does drop out from time to time so planning on going ahead and adding the remote ant. Really easy to use, only issue is finger prints and the right angle of light can make the screen hard to see at times. May upgrade to this in the Raptor for at least one of the GPS units. Still debating if the old style would be better for the CoDriver in rough stuff. Any thoughts?

So Outlaw and RPG finally have mounts for the 13s available? I've got the Nav, but have been unable to find a mount for the 2013 with MFT.

I ordered the gps and mount through Raptor Addict. Kirk said the 13' mount was special order. Took a bit to come in but, he made sure it got here in time. Outlaw makes one too from what I just discovered. Outlaw's looks to mount unit higher. If I leave this in the truck full time that would be better. I didn't like the time/temp etc at top of regular screen being blocked.

I couldn't play with the touch screen much(no gps signal = pointless.) While trying to get it to work I thougt the touch screen was nice for navigating menus etc. It looks like a tablet and therefore instinct is to touch the screen anyway. There are finger prints on my non touchscreen laptop because I automatically try it too. Your results may vary

Finally finished mounting mine today. All the wires for power and antenna are now behind the dash. Added a switch to the left.

O' BTW...the nav system....it Looks bad ass!!
