May or may not help you. On my previous truck (2018 5.0L f150) i had symptoms similar to yours. After a TON of research the combination of a thin oil, low rpm idle and slightly gummed up VVT solenoids i would get slight rpm flutters at idle that eventually progressed into stalling when coming to a stop. Replaced all 4 vvts and it was never a problem again. Im learning that the 6.2L also has VVTs but if they are in good enough condition you could get away with using a slightly thicker oil and something like "valvoline restore and protect". Dont do a full flush because i found it causes the junk to collect at the VVTs and i think thats what caused my issue in the first place. Also did not register any codes at all even with stalling. You can verify if they are the issue by watching them at idle through forscan, you should be able to see them sticking or having trouble stabilizing.

Thanks! I’ll take a look at that. I think it’s going to be something pretty unusual like this given the things I’ve ruled out. At least through the process I’ve really gotten this thing back to nearly new shape!

I cracked both valve covers today just to double check everything and it all looks nearly new. Impressive for 115k.

Looks very nice! The VVTs are actually the things you plug into under the valve cover closest to you i think. Might not be a bad idea to replace them or at least look into it while youre in there
