Got 99 problems and my Gen 1 is 1

This is what I see after a 5 mile drive and idling for about 15 mins.

And this is what I see after holding the idle at 1300Rpm for about 3 mins. Nothing close to setting off a light, but clearly missing more on cyl 6. I have swapped plugs, coils and wires twice and nothing new. Lt Fuel trims as low as -8.

If you look at you first data chart and compare the misfired cylinders to the firing order you will find your answer.
It shows every other cylinder is misfiring.

Okay, so I guess this is “solved,” and the first shop was right after all.

I drove two more Gen 1s today and they both had the same shaking shuddering idle mine does. I only got to hook Forscan up to one and it also produced some minor misfires, so that checks out to be “normal” as well and is why ford has a threshold before it sets off a light. One only had 30k miles and was a 2014, one had 88k and was a 2011. I guess it is truly the cam profile of the 6.2 specific to the raptor. It’s the only difference between our 6.2 and the 6.2 in super duty.

I will be looking to a tuner to raise the idle a little so it doesn’t dip so harshly as I’m just not comfortable with it.

I can definitely live with the shake, I just thought something was wrong with the truck, but lesson learned!

I will update this thread if it turns into anything else as I’m still getting a weird occasional pop from the driver side exhaust that makes me think it’s running too rich. But anyway, thanks everyone for the suggestions and advice!

The first thing I noticed was that studder or shake in the seat and floorboard at idle when I test drove my used 95k mile 2014. Among many other things it was my biggest concern after reading about valve spring failures. I had 5 days to return the truck for a 100% refund so during that time I took it to a 20year ford mechanic who now runs his own successful shop. Scanner like you said showed nada. Mechanic sat in the truck and also acknowledged what feels like a misfire-studder. However he looked me in the eye and said, "sounds normal to me". On the way out he agreed a warranty would be a good idea for the transmission while he had another 6.2 transmission replacement in the bay next to mine. I bought a warranty thru my credit union but now that I have gotten used to the idle I seriously consider canceling it and using the money for the new cams, springs and braces from livernois. I recently put a tune from 5star in so I will check the idle issue again. I've gotten used to it and have to tell my brain to let it go. I appreciate all the troubleshooting and posts you made. It's nice when someone else checks some boxes when your own list is already long asf!

I loaded the 5startuning 91 octane performance tune tonight. The idle miss fire or shutter-shake you feel in the seat and floorboard is still there. Unfortunately, this rev-x sct programmer doesn't indicate the max and minimum rpm when in gauge mode. I have to eyeball it and the idle rpm is jumping up and down between 629 min - 660 max. Mostly it's running 640-655 but you can't actually see the exact change in rpm when it seems to miss fire. The 91 octane tune feels better using the arse dyno. The engine purrs on the road and the upshifts are much smoother. The tune seems to keep the truck in the best gear and for the right length of time for the best performance imo. It's a lot more enjoyable to drive now. So either I am getting used to this idle or the tune has made it less noticeable with only 40 rpm in movement? I do not know the idle rpm range prior to the tunes or any of the other things I tried such as crf and cro 505 treatments last month.

Altitude is 2400ft coolant temp was 210f air intake temp was 110f at idle. So not sure if they bumped up the rpm or if the ecu is doing it on its own. Cai and catback is all this has that might effect a/f but I don't see why the ecu would change the idle for it. I was leaning HP tuners but just don't have the time or the engine upgrades at the moment to go deep. I read on here where a dude complained about stars tune shifting to hard and almost didn't use them. However, that is entirely not true in my tune from them and they answered all my questions along with 30% off. I was also hoping to go local with a cool owner of a serious raptor shop out here but the tuner and tune was going to cost over $700. Though it's probably a great tune and we'll vetted it just didn't make fiscal sense for my current raptor use. ie wax on wax off, drive, smile, repeat.
