I just have one of the sticky mounts permanently attached to the windshield inside the truck.

If you put it up behind the rear view, you'll never see it when the camera isn't being used.

With the skeleton mount, you can just run power through a USB adapter and to the camera and then not have to worry about battery life.

Hmmm... that's how I keep mine as well. But I burn the battery. I should look into this skeleton housing.

It's what I did at the Snoball.

I need to buy another Hero3 Black before the next one, as I lost the one I had. Turns out the suction cup wont hold when exposed to 180mph winds.

Damn. That suction cup could almost hold me off the ground. Felt like the part attaching to the mount would give way before the suction cup did.

I was surprised myself. It was mounted to the trunk of the car I had.

I don't think the newer suction cup mounts are as strong as the older Hero2 ones.

My Hero2 is still going strong.
