i wouldnt mount it outside on the snoball, unless its facing backwards. i ended up with lotsa footage of a snow crusted lense. suction cup mount on the windshield and facing out works well. if you want good audio from inside the cab too, pick up The Frame, perfect for inside, still gives access to everything while in it and mic isnt covered either.

Well I got the frame with the package deal I got at Sams club so looks like I'm good to go

I don't know if this would work for snoball or not (a lot more snow flying around there), but when skiing I will coat my lens with alcohol or rainx, helps prevent icing on cold days.

Make sure you buy an SD card on Gopros list. SD Card Recommendations Other cards are not as fast and the camera will downgrade the picture to continue shooting. I personally have two Samsungs and they work perfect.

just remember to watch what you say..... i had 3 other guys in my truck.... no usable audio... lol i do believe ShooterAMG had an issue with this too LOL

Absolutely pickup that wasabi kit above, 2 batteries and wall charger.

I've used the suction cup mounts in excess of 160mph, i have nothing but confidence in it... that said i still tether it with fishing wire lol For snoball u definitely want it in the truck though

I run the Sandisk 64gb card, and have a few spare 32gb ones. fwiw, I have a $15 no name brand card that does the same job as a $50+ sandisk cards. All class 10

Thanks for all the info everyone. I think ill make sure I use at least one of the recommended cards by go pro. Ill keep inside. Ill be a dead man if I go home with out it and video, wife bought it for me, but for her for snoball video, since she isn't going

I will also ask how much video can a 32gig card hold?

And before anyone says it.....yeah I know a 64 will hold twice ws much....lol

I think at the settings I had it at, almost 3 hours worth of video for a 32gb.

I just have one of the sticky mounts permanently attached to the windshield inside the truck.

If you put it up behind the rear view, you'll never see it when the camera isn't being used.

With the skeleton mount, you can just run power through a USB adapter and to the camera and then not have to worry about battery life.
