hmmm.... tempted to try E50 just seems like a hassle... the gains seem worth it though!

If you have a gas station with E 85 with consistent quality close to you it’s no hassle at all. I had almost 40,000 miles on my GooseTune E 50 tune with zero issues other than pissing off other trucks because they couldn’t keep up.

So with "consistent quality" do you always test still? Or just mix in the ratio 93 to e85?

My station was always spot on E85 so I stopped testing, I would say test every two weeks for two months and if it’s consistently 85 he probably don’t have to worry about it. It doesn’t have to be an exact E 50 blend anywhere between E 40 and a 50 you would be just fine that’s when I just started putting 50, 5093 octane and E 85.

The tipping point for me was realizing it was the exact same effort to fill up since these silly credit card companies are stuck in the 90’s and I have to use two credit cards each time at the pump anyway. I live in a large metropolitan area and the e85 content is very consistent year round, I tested anyway for peace of mind since it was first time.

Got my COBB box yesterday. I will likely pull the ECU on Sunday and drop it to UPS on Monday morning. I am thinking that I will play with the 91 tune for a while and then venture into the E50 realm...

If you want to run E tunes, this is the best ECA I’ve found. It includes an app that makes fueling very easy. It comes with a plug-n-play sensor that replaces a short section of the oem fuel line and bluetooth output so you view it on your phone, no gauge required.

I run it on my Raptor and FocusRS with another on my garage shelf for my ExplorerST.
