I'm in love! Another reason you might want to consider adding a hand held GPS to your Raptor adventures.

Here's a vid I whipped up real quick of the Plate to Plate 5k run JoyJoy and I did this past weekend (Quality sucks because I set it that way to upload faster. looks straight up beautiful in Google Earth). I was wearing a GPS enabled heart rate monitor (Garmin Forerunner 405CX)

How cool would that have been to have for the Mojave Road?

That is very cool.

My knee hurts just watching the video though...

5k runs are fun to do but that looked longer than 5k just watching it. Anyway! I like running 5k's for charity fun raisers when i]m back in the states. thanks for sharing that info with us man.

Jason, is Google Earth 5.2 available now? I visited the site and looked but found nothing that said I could upgrade my GE to 5.2
The upgrade option through the app itself didn't work for me either Dan. I had to go to the site, and proceed as if I was installing new. It will reinstall over the top of the old version with the new 5.2 version:

you ran 5K in 2 min?!?! That's awesome!!
New world record! :shock1:

Hey BigJ, I tried to do this for a prospective 'Raptor Run' trail that's out in Panamint Valley. What settings did you use to get the camera tracking and speed. When I try it, I get a series of little arrows w/o the POV.
