Hi Andy. If I recall correctly, once you highlight your route in "My Place" along the left hand side, you'll see an icon appear about mid left-hand pane. Click it to "Start tour".

As for camera speed, go to Tools->Options...->Touring tab. You'll find all the speed settings there.
