when tirina wrecked her little scion a little over a year ago. we decided she needed an awd or 4wd vehicle because she is still a rookie driving in snow. started looking and got her a gen 1, because she wanted one. the crew cabs have plenty of room. bed cover, and back seat, can fit all the crap we have to take camping. when i used to go to offroad events i had a backpack (sometimes a black garbage bag) for clothes, a pillow, a blanket and some guns. now we take a heated mattress pad, blanket to go over that to lay on. a blanket to cover us, a heated blanket on top of that, and a 3rd blanket on top of the heated blanket to keep the heat in. 2 pillows, giant air mattress, its queen size that sits 20inches off the ground, a generator, 2 popup canopys, 3 tents, crate full of cooking supplies, 4 folding tables, 2 butane burners, and most important of all, more guns. cause well you know, its not fair to her that only i bring my guns. we can fit it all in one truck, but with the amount of shit we take, we just take 2 trucks to every offroad or camping trip we go to. she has to drive, she no longer wants to be a passenger. plus we tow our quads so its 2 gen 1 raptors travelling 2000 miles in 6 days. go figure those gas numbers......

i got a 2001 honda civic. gets great gas mileage. i use that as my commuter. i just cant leave the pump running and walk away though. theres a leak somewhere about 9/10 full so the gas leaks out. drivers window doesnt go all the way down. stops at 3/4. rear passenger window doesnt go up or down. headliner material seperated, was wrecked once, used to be green, repainted black, has oil stains on the carpet (at least thats what @Oldfart said they were) 4 bald tires, missing 3 hubcaps, has 270k miles, but other than that, its basically new. fill up for $40 and lasts longer than my truck which costs $150 to fill up.

i use my truck to buy all kinds of big shit from home depot. or whatever random tools i buy on craigslist. not going to fit a shop press in the back of the exploder or fjwranglercrusier thingy.

If you are not using your Raptor what it was built for, then let it go and give someone else a shot. I see a Bronco in your future...
you shut your mouth over there. the day you sell you raptor is a sad day. we are trying to avoid that. have a heart, jeez

LOL its none of that. Its a sweet truck but I am not married to it. Its good for long trips but so is any truck really. I have a backflip cover and that works well. I am merely brainstorming ideas at this point.

Wifes Exp is about paid off but it sucks gas and has a tiny tank so its always empty. She likes that car. She hates driving the truck though she cant park it for shit.

Id actually like to get her a smaller SUV for running hte errands and kids around through the week. She actually doesnt care what I get.

So... she likes the expedition but hates the raptor?

Someone make it make sense. And yes the expedition is terrible. Trade that big bastard in for a Bronco and call it done.

tirina got an 01 subaru forester. $1800. minus the dent in the rear from the last owner hitting a pole, missing a hubcap, blown shocks, rattles in the rear, chipped paint, its basically brand new...... same as my basically brand new 01 honda civic. $40 in gas for her too. with the savings you can keep the truck AND put gas in it too.

I just don't see the point of selling the Raptor for another SUV when you already have the Explorer. Doesn't better your situation. Trade the Explorer in for whatever she wants, you keep the Raptor. Win win.

My wife has a bronco. Way way more cab space in the raptor. You’re gonna miss that bed also. Maybe go test drive one first. You may reconsider
