We had the 5.4 in the wifes 2010 FX4. I will never go back to that motor. It just doesnt excite me at all :(. I enjoyed the 5.0 test drive more
than the 5.4.

I had the 5.4 in my '08 SCrew FX4. The truck was a good 500-700 pounds lighter than my Raptor and the engine just wasn't up to the task. The 6.2 (especially with my intake/tune/catback) would run from my old truck.

Same results as yours in my 07 FX4.
The new screw is heavy as shit but I hated the 5.4 in my old truck.

PS. I don't care what your Raptor has in it. So 5.4 owners please don't take it toooo personally :ROFLJest:

A contractor recently showed up with a 10 5.4 raptor. We got to chatting about intakes, noise etc. We ended up out backroading in both and I have to say that it seemed that his 5.4 volant was honking all the time vs the airaid on my 6.2. After Fooling around Id say that the 5.4 is pretty well powered but works a hell of a lot harder than the 6.2.

The 04-08 f150s are much slower than the 09+ trucks. The new 6 speed transmission and a slight bump in power made a HUGE difference. I've been in a 2004 f150 a bunch of times and it was so slow I would never buy one.
