Well, we visited Moab, Arches Ntl Pk, Canyonlands Ntl Pk, Capitol Reef Ntl Pk, Bryce Canyon Ntl Pk, and Zion Ntl Pk., and drove back home through Arizona,
and the Navajo Nation before hitting New Mexico and TX.....and I must say, the entire state was gorgeous! Everywhere we drove there was much to see.
We went through several trails while in Moab and Arches Ntl Park that were challenging, but the Raptor handled it like a champ!Around Moab, the Raptor did GREAT, with no damage I've seen except a small scrape(about 1/4 long) on the rear fender and some rubs under the MBRP exhaust tips. First off let me say the tips didn't rub too hard, but when tested, they didn't warp or crunch down a single bit.
Day 1 - Potash Rd to Shafer Canyon Road into Canyonlands up to the top of the canyon rim VERY scenic and alot of pics taken - EASY with very minor crawling through the gate into Canyonlands
Day 2 - Gemini Bridges, Goldbar Spike Spider, Four Arches, and Crips Hole Trails - FUN! Went about a couple miles on Gold Bar Spike Spider before turning back to avoid damage. Nearing the last 2 miles on West end of Gemini Bridges, put it in Baja mode and let 'er rip!!! We then proceeded to Arches Ntl Pk just to do the touristy on-road tour from 3-8:30pm. Even did the foot hike up to the Delicate Arch...2 miles uphill...
Day 3 - Whitewater rafting on the Colorado 1/2 day, then Arches Natl Pk again - Drove the road straight to the Devlis Garden which we hadn't seen yet, then hit the OHV trails - Salt Creek trail to Klondike Bluffs trail to see Tower Arch, then came around to Herdina Park trail that came back to the main road about 4 hours and 20+ miles later. Tight in places, but you can do it! Medium skill necessary to avoid damage....and spotters on both sides to hold back branches while you pass....(not going to say a machete, because that will land you in hot water if caught). The wife got to do some easy rockcrawling and LOVED IT! She's hooked!
Day 4-7 - was on road or by foot, hiking the other parks! Too much to see and not enough time to go on all the trails we wanted, but that gave us an excuse to say we'll be going back to Utah, to explore further when the kids are both in their teens.
