525 is right.

Lars is very good at what he does. He’s very mindful of the fact that he doesn’t want the truck to die a quick death.

You push it much beyond there and the bottom end is going to lock up. It can’t handle the rotational force and heat generated.

Just to clarify, are you suggesting the MPT 93 PRX tune will cause problems with the bottom end locking up? Lots of folks running MPT on this forum, which does not prove anything, but I am curious on your thoughts.

Please report on how it feels with the new Turbos. Will you be running more Boost, or just getting more efficient boost.

Just a heads up, Switzer Performance put larger turbos on their Raptor and blew the block. They say max you can do to these is a tune and anything more you'll have to build the block. Good Luck...

I was expecting more than that with the larger turbos! MPT claims 92 HP gains with the 93 PRX tune and that is without larger turbos, TAs and down pipes.

Without knowing the details, that would be more than 100 hp at the wheels, than the mpt tune, thats a lot, most of the upgraded parts are supporting parts, also i will imagine it will have a very safe tune and be very repetable...(wont heatsoak, as easily)

By using a little bit bigger turbos, he wont loose spool or much of it, will gain top end, and will also be pushing the turbos in their efficiency range, which will limit detonations, via cooler iat...

P.d. this also tells me that intakes, spd adapters and down pipes, dont do much...also i dont think these engine have much more than that....ford gt have i think 525 at the wheels...

If it was me i would just do turbos, intercooler, catch can, and tune...as a good efficient start...

I was told the same thing by my gtr tuner, that the engine doesnt have much more than what the op is quoting... i was told about 550 ...

Fords F22 raptor with a whipple treatment was 550 and 660 torque. If done correctly this truck has more room. Fords was pretty basic.

Ford limited your HP potential for the GEN 2 Raptor with a V6 . If they would of made the 5.0 optional/available . 700hp with just bolt on's and pump gas .
