I would just rather get air on my dirt bike than in a truck. It's fun to take off-roading but that's about it. To each his own I guess.

I've got a track on 80 anchors about an hour from the speedway. I putz around on it with my truck every once in a while - but I don't jump it. Would be cool to host an event like this on the track sometime... but I'm sure the insurance and liability issues is to much trouble for what its worth.

Couldn't disagree more!! I totally understand motocross and the fun of jumping a 50+ ft table or hitting a huge step up or even hitting a sick scrub table but coming around a corner with 400+ hp sideways and eyeing the jump and then the feeling of being in the air with a +6k lb truck and the landing being so great/comfortable is something to feeling but completely different than being on a bike... Imma talk you into it lol

Also know how it sucks to over jump something on a bike... Ouch !! The gf will be shifting for me at the event ... Only have 1 arm!!!

When I was living in MD we had an old two lane road that had a perfect spot to get air, I am glad I did not have the raptor then as I am sure I would have killed myself trying to see how far I could push it, but ever since then getting air in vehicles has always been fun.

I guess I can see your point. I've never jumped anything heavier than a quad. I just hate not having control in the air! Hell maybe ill give it a try.

48 Hours

In about 48 hours I will be hitting the road for MI leaving from the Annapolis MD area for Silver Lake on Friday and Time Attack the rest of the weekend. If anyone else has similar travel plans and want to convoy to MI let me know.

This should be a FUN weekend!

This is my first time doing it. Any of you bringing a cooler with food and drinks like beers and stuff like that? I don't want to be the only one with a cooler. Lol

Raptor man you don't have to air it out and brake tap a landing or have it sideways through the air, join the fun and just do what you're comfortable with, it will be fun for everyone in a safe environment, that's what the rest of us are doing.

If you want to compete by all means you can or ifmyoumwant to just enjoy the track and people well that's just as acceptable. Like moto, no one will will be judging because of how you drive your truck out there.

Join us in the dunes and test or feel it out there first. What do you have to lose?!youre there anyway.

All the jumping we will do at the dunes will be safe and normally there are degrees of steepness so if you want to go big you can or if you just want to get that butterfly feeling and just unload your suspension you can as well ... No one wants to see a broken truck and as CP raptor said it's for fun and your comfort level ... But I know when you see 10 + raptors sessioning a jump you'll wanna "jump" in !! Also the only uncontrol you would have is if you completely let off the gas on the face which you ride so you know that's a no no unless your trying to do it on purpose .. Only days left yay!!
