I had a jeep grand cherokee, left us stranded 3 times. The drive shaft fell off while driving and it started burning oil at 70k. My 14 and 16 ram limited where both lemoned and bought back by FCA, never again FCA.

I lemoned a 2018 Wrangler JLU to get the Raptor. The Gladiator is based on the same platform. I recommend going over to the JL forums and read about all of the issues they are having. Also, the factory brags about how many they can make in a shift, setting records. IMHO, they are putting them together too quickly and quality control is suffering.

The 4,190 Launch Edition Gladiators sold out in one hour. Not surprised the Raptor forum doesn’t like it.

I own a Gen 1 Raptor and a Jeep JL Rubicon, and while the new JL Jeeps are leaps and bounds ahead of the older models, it's no comparison to my Raptor!

The biggest things that make the Raptor better- Ride quality, comfort, engine power, and more of a "king of the road" feel.

The Wrangler offers a nice sized, easy to park, good gas mileage, and a very versatile and fun package to drive along with so many fun options (top off, doors off, and so many cool fun things to do with it). The factory Alpine stereo is also one of the best factory radios I've ever heard.

To all those comparing the old jeeps (JK and older) to the new one, there is no real comparison besides the fact they look similar. I was a big Wrangler fan for so many years but never bought one because they were horrid daily drivers. Jeep has solved This with the 2018+ JL Wranglers for sure. Night and day.

In all seriousness, I think if you are interested in the Gladiator you're better off just getting a Wrangler unless you absolutely, 100% need the bed.. but I think it would be a HUGE step back from a Raptor and not worth it for the price.
