I'm betting if you drive the Raptor like it's meant to be driven that the 37's will remove the fender liners for you. You'll probably want to do that before the Raptor does it for you.

I'm not sure it's purely a vertical height issue (I think it'll take more than raising the Raptor UP a couple-three inches). The tires are larger in every direction not just upwards.

I wonder if the 37's will do more than "remove" the fender liners.
Ok I am on the east coast so I don't make many wide open desert runs full of jumps. Our stock tire is roughly a 35 by 12.5 and the General tires are and long with most 37 inch tires are 37 x 12.5 so the tire is a few inches taller. For the problem I can see is at full lock to lock steering input where the suspension is compressed. Also there is the possibly to us the truxxx leveling kit as spacers to get another few inches of lift.

Actually the BFG A/T KO tires are 12.0" wide x 34.5" tall (dia) so 12.5" wide tires that are 37" (or thereabouts since I don't know the actual height of the Grabber 37s) are quite a bit larger.

The General 37's are not available in a DOT approved tire as of yet. With a 37" tire you will get rubbing at the rear of the front wheel well when turning in and out of a parking spot with out trimming the plastic.

So its when the truck is turned lock to lock. Removing the inner fender liner will fix this. Correct.

Tank, just so we're clearly communicating - my understanding of the 37s is that they will rub when the front wheels are turned hard and the "trimming the plastic" that SDHQ is talking about is not the fender liners, it's certainly the material directly behind the front tires in front of the doors.

Also, the 37s will, as I understand it, contact the fender liners (at least in the front) and possible more.

Like you and others, I'd like to know exactly what issues are involved in running 37s. They are larger/taller and wider and heavier and they will require fender trimming and fender liner removal and they could affect other areas of the truck (not to mention your warranty should anything go wrong with the truck and/or suspension).
