Non DOT tires are not approved for use on roadways...race only/off road use only. Many tractor, implement, agricultural tires are also non DOT approved. DOT approved tires must meet certain safety tests/durability standards. Likely the non DOT Grabbers would surpass said requirements, but haven't yet done so....
