Question for the gurus here…
Is there a way to disable the lower active grill shutter that throws a CEL on the 2024’s?

I don’t have an aftermarket bumper but I’ve been seeing more and more and assume many of them cannot retain this active grill shutter… anyway, I have a code U0285 for “lost communication with active grille air shutter actuator 2”

I assume this should be a warranty issue and covered however the local dealer I called to schedule a drop off said it would be upwards of $900 to diagnose!

Appreciate any insight!

Try checking the connector, drop the skid and follow back from the shutters
Connector and pins look good… no wires appear to have been pinched and definitely not cut.

Leaning toward the motor/module itself. I booked a drop off appointment for 12/23 online at my local dealer, hoping they take the truck and cover everything as they should!

I was dinking around with Forscan and now my steering wheel buttons will not work. I get a “steering feel selection not available” message. Is this just coincidence that it happened at the same time I was using Forscan or did I inadvertently mess up something with Forscan? Hoping someone experienced something similar and can point me in the right direction.

Start by using Forscan to read your DTC and see what you got. Take a screen shot of DTC details and then do a DTC reset. Make sure all with power on, but engine not running. If does not clear the problem, report back with any DTC detail and someone may be able to help you.

That's the whole point of the spreadsheet that's linked all over the place.

I can tell you're having a bad day, so I'll let the lack of social graces slide. Have a Blessed Day, Brother.
