Recently finished our build with our friends over at @454motorsport. This thing came out great. This truck has been through a few revisions already but this one is probably the most extensive.
This revamp involved moving to a spring under setup, we included a Currie F9 rear end, DK shackles, 454 did a custom 2in C notch to the frame, as well as plating all around and added rear chassis lacing for strength. We are now running a custom 2-piece driveline with carrier bearing to account for the driveline angle, bed cage got a refresh with some new accessories, also included a new exhaust that exits out of the upper fender, installed new wider fiberglass on the front and rear to accommodate the new 39s. 454 also installed a custom dual caliper setup in the rear that will be paired with a handbrake in the cab.
Travel numbers . . . we got 19.5” of total travel, 10.5” up from ride height, 9” down from ride height bumped and strapped. Shock tuning will happen here in the next few weeks via ADS out of Arizona.
454 did a full YouTube walkaround getting into all the details that can be found here -
If you are interested in a similar setup, give them a call, a lot of this work was 3D scanned so parts could be cut and replicated easily.
See you out in the desert
