it wouldnt be billions to have an aluminum 7.3L godzilla, but theres someone that is in V6 ecoboost marketing that disagrees..

You’d have the same limitations as the RR - limited range. I don’t see it as necessarily a bad thing, but it’s not going ever be as efficient as the eco. It’s always going to be moving more mass around, even if you went to cylinder deactivation, that rotating mass isn’t going away. Like it or not, Ford’s committed to the EV path and losing money on each one they sell, and they’re amortizing those losses among the other models - Our favorite in particular.

We saw how long it took them to turn around shoehorning a V8 into the Raptor again, and that was a V8 already in service - the 5.2SC.
Unless they abandon the F150 platform and go to a F250 Raptor, I see it more likely that they continue with Eco development.

Just make the 5.0 standard or optional. Its right there, in the corner. Put me in coach
Come on... nowhere near enough torque there. They’d have to go with a supercharged 302 and they don’t have one ready to roll. The TRX will have way more hp, and torque than the 5.0.

2016 is calling. They want their FRF trolls back.

Introduce a lower performing base engine, why?
Ok, there’s a blower kit for the 5.0. Why isn’t this an option on the Mustang?

We got what we got, like it or not. You’ve got the ideas, go to work for Ford and make them happen!

It would probably be cheaper and faster by years to have an aftermarket V8 installed if you want it that bad.

Lets try this (presuming we’re not going to get screwed by this ev nonsense):

Ford should already be developing a follow on high HP motor for f150. Ram going to a 540 hp soon in the rho TRX stand in. Personally I need to be at close to 575-600 to be sated. But when I factor in the cost of our raptors etc then we’re getting short changed on hp big time. $90k for 450 hp? Getouttahere.
