Is gas mileage important to you? Which look do you like better? Which company do you feel will have better dealers for service with any issues you may have post-sale? Any quality that stands out for one versus another such as interior materials, layout, or options?

The gen 3 raptor appears to be well-received with the transition to a coil spring rear end, but the TRX also has that. In terms of driving characteristics, those who have driven both seem to concur that the TRX feels heavier in the nose when off-roading if that is of concern to you.

Why are you even asking this question. You had a Gen 1,2 and your Gen 3 is arriving soon.

Do you want the TRX--then get it. If the power is 'irrelevant' to you on TRX then just get a Rebel.

Good luck and enjoy Gen 3.
Im asking for a few reasons.
Theres never been competition woth Gen 1 or Gen 2

Ford has changed my status back and forth almost every month. So I considered a truck I never would have prior. And love it.

But again, I have no measurable comparison between the Gen 3. Havent even seen the cab of one. So just seeing if people are truly happy with theirs and if they were worth the wait.

The engine is being discontinued mainly for reasons of meeting emissions and mileage standards with the focus of Ram shifting to electronic technologies and hybrids.

Here is an article from car and driver about it:
