Instead of shouting you mouth off, the 85 HO had a L69 engine which was carbureted. The car wasn't stock going over Germany. All the pollution shit was removed, it was 292/305 Magnum cam , value train change to rollers and swirl values , head work done, headers, balance and blue printed, 7 quart oil pan, high volume oil pump, edelbrock single plane manifold, 650 Holley which was change to a holly pro injection system when it first came out. T5 borg warner trans with a center force clutch. The car was setup to run the autobahn, not 1/4 mile.

Oh, yours had the (even weaker) L69 motor that made 190hp on paper vs the then top of the line TPI motor making 215. LOL. I see a bunch of parts listed above that don’t work together especially on a 305 low compression motor. Clearly not much of a performance car, and absolutely not a left-lane Autobahn car. You must have been embarrassed, LOL. And absolutely something that would be smoked today by a Gen2 V6 Raptor. I bought my wife a new 1985 TPI Trans Am WS6 in ‘85 that was her daily driver, I’m familiar with the breed and weakness......

The 2023 Raptor R will have a 7.3 with blower making well over 700hp. It will be lighter than the TRX so it will not even be a contest. I am taking bets.

40lbs-ft is a nice little increase no doubt. The dream was 500/600 and that would be a screamer. Time will tell. Ford may just be fine with it’s performance/reliability/MPG-Range for what this truck is truly designed for.

I suspect the 550tq is right since the axle manufacturer would need that info to make sure their product would hold up but based off off previous statements by Ford with the higher compression, bigger turbos and better exhaust I’m sure that 450hp is wrong I’m thinking 490-500hp

The Predator 5.2 is a 6 bolt main deep skirt block with forged pistons, rods, and crank. Pistons are cooled by oil jets and the heads are CNC machined. The head bolts pull from the bottom of the block. It has no issues making 760HP while passing all of Ford’s required durability and longevity testing. It really doesn’t matter that you’re “not sure” the 5.2 Predator will hold up; your opinion is irrelevant because you clearly don’t know anything.

This is like Barry White singing in my ear..... :D

Sound over performance. Nice man. You'll do well with a fiat...all show no go....unless it's a drag strip. Fiat will earn my respect when they run their stock truck through baja then drive it home like the Gen 2 Raptor did. That kind of credibility will escape Fiat until they step up and run their rig through the environment it was supposedly designed for...hope the driveline doesn't break....cause yeah...that's a thing

TRX running Baja 1000? How many stock Raptor chase trucks will the need to carry all the spare parts? rofl

Whatever brother. You do you, and I'll do me.

I respect "his" (didn't want to be a spamholl again...) opinions as well as knowledge, and consider him one of the best resources we have here. I just wanted his opinion on the video.

Agree 100% Anyone who knows his contributions, respects his thoughts and comments, not every site has a subject matter expert like that.
