I like the part where he told us he bought a TRX but didn't tell us.

I have a roush gen1. Its cool, I love it. Its still slower than a gen2. hm weird. I'd drive a gen2 or 3 if prices haven't gotten stupid. Really want a SCAB. Only thing I would be worried about is all the electronics and that goes for every new vehicle. Cant wait to see the build sheet on the gen3.

Thanks for the video! Oh yea I had a Prius.

It was the tone of your post. The attitude. Sorry if I misread it. Maybe it was frustration coming through. Either way, I had to give you a ration. :) I started driving V8s back in 1973. I don't miss them. But I'm not into music and I've lost quite a bit of my hearing, so all I really care about is what happens when I push on the skinny one to the right. I think you did the right thing by buying the TRX. The Raptor R may or may not ship, for various reasons, and the TRX might well be the last of the big dinosaur killers. Enjoy the ride.
No worries...I should worded my post better.

I'm not asking him to confirm/deny anything. I simply respect his thoughts on the Raptor.

The real question is WTF do you care?

Why do I care? Because idiots like you ask him stupid questions and sooner or later he’s going to stop answering all questions because he is sick of getting spammed.

I think he would just not respond. I mean I am new here, but it sounds like he is an adult and can handle by himself. I did not know we needed a baby sitter for a member. I mean if the dude was getting upset, I think he would just post - "hey man I dont know" and move on. How is he getting spammed? I mean he obviously told people he knows things, that is on him, dont ya think?

I'm doubtful of the power numbers for a few reasons. As others have said, keeping the same HP would be looked at as a disappointed, and it would make sense for Ford to boost it up if even slightly just to avoid that disappointed. I get that the torque number is up a bit, but it clearly isn't going to impress anyone.

If these are the numbers, it makes little sense for Ford to keep the HP a secret. Sure, they may have get that number recertified, but they could have stated that there are no changes to the engine without being specific.

The other is...this video hasn't been taken down yet. Ford has kept the numbers a secret and I can't imagine they are ok with this information getting out through this way if it were accurate numbers. Maybe, Ford isn't aware yet, but we'll get a better idea if Ford takes it down in the next few days. Then again, if/when they take it down, it doesn't really confirm the numbers are right.

The other reason, and it's really a strong one, it's entirely possible that the person speaking on the video was just throwing out the numbers from the Gen 2, not really think about it or what have you. Or was given the wrong information. I could be wrong, but I guess there aren't a ton of people at Ford that know the actual numbers at this point, and I'm think the rep who came out to this plant isn't one of them.

But none of that is solid. I don't know that I'm disappointed if it is true though. I wasn't planning on getting a '21, and it really wouldn't be a smart move either way. This news would just make it easier for me to hold off. Besides , no change now increases the odds that there is an improvement in future years.

i am buying the gen3 no matter what cause I don’t currently own a raptor. Just a matter of whether I get the 37” or 35” if I am stuck with that velour blue, it will dictate my outside color but that is the only issue I see.

Same here. Coming from 2019 F150 Lariat. Finally in my life the amount is not a concern. I have saved for this truck for 10 years. I just hope we can tell from the interior pics in the build website how it looks. I want to just max this out and get the 37's, but the pics we have seen so far I am on the fence. I am get the to Performance Blue or Leadfoot.
