well- yeah, But you also don’t usually have a 707hp blown V8 powering a typical off-road truck either....and 95% of the people buying a RAM TRX ain’t off-roading it.
There is no reason to put a staggered setup on a truck that goes in the dirt. There is no way they would design it that way it makes no sense. Why design a dirt truck to not go in the dirt ever if the owner never takes there it is still made for the dirt. If you look at the photos and videos of the TRX online it is pretty obvious they are running a 35” tire all around. What happens when you get a flat? Carry two different spares? Why would you even want smaller tires on the front? You ever see a Trophy truck? They have 700+ hp and all the same tires. It would be laughable if Ram did this to the TRX and No one even remotely into Baja desert racing would want it. Honestly it kinda shows you lack of knowledge on the subject. Not trying to be a **** but you keep saying this and it is ridiculous. No Offroad truck ever runs a staggered setup.

I was going to say the same thing. There are a lot of trophy trucks that are 2WD and running big power numbers. There are Gen 1 Raptors that are doing the same. If you have good leaf springs and traction bars, then 2WD is a nonissue on these trucks.

bro- you’re totally missing the point, I agree w/ what you’re saying- but what I’m saying is I don’t believe that Ram is going to truly make it dedicated offroad, - maybe I’m wrong but it just seems to me it’ll be more street oriented like the old SRT10 or the current SRT8/Trackhawk Jeep

I mean case in point is their challenger - they make track oriented versions & obviously high-po ones & while they can pseudo market it as a “sports car” they don’t really hide the fact nor seem to give a shit that all of these vehicles are way too heavy & ****** handling to really qualify even as a muscle car (although that’s exactly what it is- but @ 4500+ lbs?)

they could make this more like the Powerwagon....but it seems like they cannot help themselves from making every damn vehicle w/ the blown V8 into a life size matchbox car w/ an eating problem.

Those 8 lug front and 6 lug rears on the TRX mules are for testing only. They have already said it will be 6 lug all around on production. The interesting thing will be if more tire manufactures will make 37s and 35s in 18-19" rim sizes. Right now 18s barley clear the brakes (talking 2mm of clearance) on the regular Rebel 1500. I know this because my buddy wanted 18s and ended up with 20s because of the last of tire options.

It has been marketed as a Raptor competitor from day one. How would that even be possible with a street truck? Have you seen the TRX spy shots? No one is asking for a hellcat truck (there is a reason they don’t make the SRT 10 still, no one bought them) what everyone wants is a badass Offroad truck. Who cares if it never touches the dirt at least the capabilities are there.

My guess is the 2021 F-150 is not the "14th generation" F-150 but rather a second refresh to the 13th gen (2015-present). Basing this on it appearing to have same cab.

It could be similar to the difference between 11th gen (04-08) and 12th gen (09-14), where half the components are common. One could argue 04-14 trucks are a single generation.

If it's a all-new-frame, all-new-interior, and all-new-exterior-with-new-cab...would guess Raptor won't be til 2022.

I'd bet standard 2021 F-150 is new front end, tailgate, possibly bedsides. Wheels. Some engine updates (3.0?). Interior update with 12" screen from 2020 Explorer, and anything from complete redo of interior to nearly same as present with giant-er screen option.

All this is my dumb-layman observation based on past behavior.

Ford stock closed at $8.10 today but they have a lot of new products in the pipeline under the fairly new CEO, Jim Hackett. Jim took the CEO position at Ford in May of 2017 and he is making some big changes. At a company as large as Ford it’s similar to turning a cruise ship. It takes some time. He has to be chomping at the bit to finally relay some good news to investors and stock holders and I think his day is around the corner.

His leadership team will finally have their vehicle visions become reality. In the pipeline is a refreshed F-150 that we all know about, a new generation Bronco, a “soccer mom” Bronco SUV and the all electric Mach-E. As long as the economy stays strong they have a chance to increase sales, profits and the stock price.

There's literally thousands of supercharged Gen 1s out there. Whipple has sold so many they have had to re-tool the casting.
