Just watched same video. Wow. Also mentioned “COVID” trucks. Thought that was interesting.I just got done watching a video from the TFL guys, they said and showed the same thing in Denver. They ended up buying a 2019 at msrp.
I posted a thread bout a month ago when my ‘18 Raptor got totaled my experience doing a search within 500 miles of Boston (basically northern ME to NJ) the deal w/ NEW Raptors on the lot was such-
The only trucks being sold for msrp straight up (no dealer invoice or discounted prices to be had- period) were base 800a or a handful of 801a trucks & they were harder to come by- luckily I actually preferred the 801a over the 802a package.... so that wasn’t a concern for me.
802a trucks ALL were given ADMs $2.5-$6k except for 5-6 “rocky ridge” trucks some dealers had that I think they almost “bait & switched” as they didn’t all really indicate they had that “package” done to them. Outta those trucks a couple were being sold w/ markup but most we’re going for msrp & 2 slightly discounted in a way (were not charging the full amount of the rocky ridge stuff) & I think it’s b/c as the new Raptor supply shrunk most serious buyers were more knowledgeable/discerning & dealers realized the rocky ridge crap isn’t necessarily a selling point to many prospective buyers- it’s a deterrent.
now a month later I see a local dealer asking $10k over msrp for 802a trucks
There are very few left now
Pretty sure it was a 2020 built on 11/19.I just got done watching a video from the TFL guys, they said and showed the same thing in Denver. They ended up buying a 2019 at msrp.
I tried to close on 3 801 trucks in a month when I was shopping for my 2020. Ended up going with the 802 because the inventory was dissapearing before I could get my hands on one. I thought this might happen and it seems I made a good choice, I can see gen2s being very desirable in the future, not too many people i spoke with are happy with the new redesign
