It's more to do with the state of the auto retail market right now, but Raptor production coming to an end for now will certainly push prices a bit higher still. Right now all scarce models like the Raptor where numbers are limited and the buyers are picky about options are going for big premiums.

I've posted this in the past. But I bought an 800a at invoice back in June for $54.5k. I ended up selling it to Vroom for $62k - it seems like they basically loaded up on a bunch of base Raptors and set the price. After coming down from $66k it appears they sold it for $63.5k.

I'm still looking for an 802a new or used (and luckily I have all the time in the world) - there's still a few new just below MSRP. But I can't help but hold out. The "new" market suffers from the supply issue, but I can't see the used market inflated forever..

If you want an 802a and you're finding any under MSRP, now's the time.

No, no, no. Trade it for a TRX. Then when gen 3 comes out at MSRP+$10k trade the TRX for a gen 3. Two years after that, you can trade for a TRX2. And so on. A man needs to learn to manage his money properly if he wants to die broke. :)

Continuously chasing after new tech. It’s a dangerous game, that few can do and still die loaded lol

Dealers marking up new ones changed my purchase. Early summer, there were discounts. When I got serious about purchasing in Sept/Oct -- everything seemed to have moved to MSRP and above. I ended up buying a low mileage 2018 with the full Ford ESP warranty ($0 deductible) to 125K. Saved myself 15K. Would have preferred a new one but it was hard to justify once I got them to throw in the warranty.
