I did just read an article that the new Focus RS allows you to completely turn off all nanny systems so maybe the Gen 2 Raptor will let us turn everything off.

When I first found out about the Raptor in '08 I was browsing SVT Performance and found a post of the videos Ford released showing the prototypes in the desert hauling some ass. All of the introduction, including SEMA, was centered around the truck in the dirt. That's what got me excited! I didn't care about the engine, the do-dads, transmission or anything other than how it was going to be driving across the desert. I'm hoping Ford gets back to that and really focuses on the off-road capabilities. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we haven't seen but a few snap shots of the truck in the dirt.

I need to see some videos like this of the new truck

What are you talking about Brian, there is this amazing video that I like to call:

The 2017 Raptor...doing things that any truck in the world could do!

Paddle shifters are very cool. I hope they are responsive, and not laggy though.

Excited to see how this truck does once it hits the dealerships.

I'm surprised to see that the UCA and knuckle are made from aluminum.

I wasnt so shocked to see an aluminum upper.... but an AL knuckle... no freakin way! I wonder if that is just painted?

Few of the pics I saw, it looks like the drivers side rear shock was mounted behind the axle. WTF???

Im sure I'll probably get one in 2018 or 2019.... but for now the perfect Raptor for me will be the one that I have the keys to and is paid off in 2017 :D
