Anyone have any experience with evil offroad/manufacturing weld in limit strap kit made for the gen 1? I ordered a set. By pics and what rep told me looks to be a no brainer measurements already taken so you cant mess anything up and weld in piece on upper mount is form fitted to a specific location and the $174 price point still puts me under gen 1 rebuilds. And for added insurance I'll keep them on when I get the DSC units eventually. Post some pics when this project starts.

I think they are kinda a new company...bunch of new stuff for raptors that i haven't seen before. I recently got a dead pedal from them and its pretty nice

I'd like to see how your rears mount up. I read that those ride just a tad higher than the 2.5's....might be some hope there.....maybe combine the rears with a set of Deavers....

If I dont break anything at badlands, silver lake, the cliffs or the UP in my neck of the woods out back the fronts will be replaced by 3.0 dsc units first then when I've absorbed that cost will also replace out back. But yeah will report my findings and if I break stuff.
I am however curious how the gen 2 rears stack up against gen 1 factory non adjustable rears. New tech? Same stuff? Gen 1s better cause in spec? Curious.

I'm never going back to those pos 2.5s ever again. Install was simple raise it tires off, bottom bolt impact 15mm with 18mm open end first run bolt out. Then do top. Had my son run bolt out while I held shock so doesnt drop. Put in top bolt on 3.0 but didnt tighten, Put the bottle jack on to get lower bolt line up perfect. At full extension rear brake lines with help of bottle jack were stretched pretty good. Maybe some longer braided units in future. Torque to 66 ft pounds both bolts. Repeat on other side.
Ride is immediately noticeable. Like all the previous posters had said, firm when needs to be no clunk more planted on street yet more soft and compliant when u want it to be. Once I hit dirt I'll have gen2 fronts so will have to wait on that. Cant wait for the fronts. Waiting for my limit straps will post when fronts start.9a386d7ead81612748320f2e5030452e.jpg82278aa69bd50300f354e5667b9d11f3.jpgede5b9b4ce98ea627818020c8ec71660.jpg6e8379470573ffff135dc0dab3ee85dd.jpg70ba0693d9409f6bb1cce20b117fafc0.jpg95d153a9c39d27e59a632c64a481cdd0.jpg9d9b67c7218712fcf396c76effcb36f2.jpg

So I put a set of the gen 2 3.0's on the rear and and had the stock front 2.5's rebuilt and a set of Geiser progressive's put on and now the rear is roughly 3" to 3.25" higher than the front. If I go to mid perch how much can I expect to gain? Anybody else experience this if so how did you level the truck without going to top perch?

Forgot to add I also Have Deaver plus 3's installed as well.

Usually when people put +3 deavers they also add a drop shackle (1 inch longer) that effectively makes it back to +2 (stock height)
The benefit of +3 and the drop shackle you get more droop vs stock or +2
Mid perch gives 1-1.5 and top gives 2-3

The truck came with the Deavers already on it. Looks like stock shackles. I would like to keep it on bottom perch for ride quality. If I put on a 2" drop shackle it would lower the truck 1" Is this correct? would I need shims for the axle?
