just picked up this truck and noticed car play doesn't work sometimes. My phone would be charging but carplay would not load. tried to delete and add multiple times and still doesn't work only solution is to shut the truck off and restart. Anyone have this issues and how can i fix it?

Try a different cable. Cables are finicky with CarPlay. When using aftermarket cables I have had it not work, sometimes I can flip the cord and it will work with it the other way around. A genuine Apple cable seems to be most reliable.

I'd do a full factory reset of the Sync system if you haven't already.

......And delete the bluetooth connection from the iPhone clearing any connection between the two. Restart device. Try to connect again. Good luck. These things are generally problems with the phone, then cable, then head unit.

Yes....The Carplay Icon turns it on and the (I think it says Ford Icon) takes you back to the Ford Sync menu stuff...(At least on mine !!}
