3.5 is 417 lbs complete. 6.2 is 580lb. So a 163lb difference, which quite significant, especially over the front end of a high speed off road Baja truck. You know the 3.5L with the turbos on it weight just over 500+ lbs.
80 +/- lbs. is not that much of a difference,
but I do concede that 80 lbs. extra over the front axle is not great.
Those appear to just be random estimates ; I would not consider “dust runners auto” or “vintage-mustang” to be reliable sources of information. The numbers I posted are directly from the Ford Workshop Manual.Where are they getting these weights?
I understand there are 1st and 2nd gens on these engines, is this the case?

I know i got all excited there was a lot of new info going on with the tod project. Lol.holy hijacked thread batman!
Its all good mtf, some great info i didnt knowI shouldn't have responded to the derailed discussion, just hate my 6.2L being called a boat anchor or anvil.
My boosted 6.2L outperforms the little Ecoboost all day long.
It will still workAnyone else have experience with the TOD TC swap. Still don’t think anyone has answered the hill descent question?
Maybe.
How is it that you have 4x4 Auto under the 4" info screen?
Remember the 2010 1/2 doesn't even have select shift, the BCM is different and doesn't have the little 4" info screen in the dash.
But sure wish someone would try it.
